Rollin' Rollin' Rollin' Keep Those Babies Rollin'

Inez has rolled over! Well, she rolled over while in bed with us, so Nick claims it's not "for real" because the bed is soft and it's easier to roll. Regardless, our extremely advanced baby is on her way to rolling! She likes being on her tummy much more because she can raise her head so well.In other news, it is still so cold here that Inez gets uber bundled whenever we leave the house. But one day, not so long ago, the temperature was actually above zero. So my mom and I packed up Inez in her new snowsuit and stuck her in the stroller for a walk. She was a little confused by the giant pink envelope we put her in, but she was oh so cute.
Inez likes the new swing we got her too. She likes to be carried around while napping, so the swing FEELS like I'm carrying her when I'm not! Magical. Here's what she thinks about it:

Reading

Inez has started to looove reading. We often lie in bed together and read books at night. She especially likes The Belly Button Book, the Baby BeeBee Bird, and Mrs. McNosh Hangs Up the Wash. She is very attentive. She even smiles when reading Sam's Cookie.

Last week we went to the dr. and got our shots. It was horrible for mom and Chub-Chub (our nickname for our baby chubby cheeks). She screamed so loud I amazed I can still hear. She has since recovered.

In other news, we tested out our daycare situation and Nick took care of 2 babies for a couple of hours. It will be tons of fun! We haven't figured out yet how Nick will eat or go to the bathroom, but I suppose he'll figure it out.

Cold Days, Hot Babes

Inez and I spent the day enjoying our new sling. I am able to carry her around everywhere I go. She loves to look around and watch what I do. Before I was carrying her in my arm- you should see my muscles! Now we can wash the diapers, eat lunch, and snooze together.

Yesterday we joined a group of moms at the Como Conservatory where we sat around a fountain for a couple of hours chatting about babies. We were practically melted by the time we left. The cold weather actually felt refreshing.

I keep trying to capture Inez's awesome smile, but the pre-flash light confuses her and by the time the camera snaps she looks taken aback. Feel free to buy us a faster digital camera.
