Inez and I spent the day enjoying our new sling. I am able to carry her around everywhere I go. She loves to look around and watch what I do. Before I was carrying her in my arm- you should see my muscles! Now we can wash the diapers, eat lunch, and snooze together.
Yesterday we joined a group of moms at the Como Conservatory where we sat around a fountain for a couple of hours chatting about babies. We were practically melted by the time we left. The cold weather actually felt refreshing.
I keep trying to capture Inez's awesome smile, but the pre-flash light confuses her and by the time the camera snaps she looks taken aback. Feel free to buy us a faster digital camera.

My guess is that Inez is going to grow up to be a great human because of her roommate. It's always the third party that contributes the most to positive early childhood development. the liberal media places way too much emphasis on parental involvement, when scientific research shows that clearly it's the "other" person in the home that makes or breaks a childhood.
I think that if you just keep flashing that red-eye prevention thing, she'll eventually get used to it. In fact, this presents a great opportunity for this generation of babies to grow up with the red-eye reducing technology. They will eventually become the most red-eye-less humans this world has ever seen. you have the opportunity to particpate in that and I think that's great.
