Cutest Baby In The World Contest Results

We tallied the votes, and it appears that Inez has indeed won the cutest baby in the world title. Congrats to Inez and her parents/managers!

Inez has recently gone through two, yes two, growth spurts and is practically walking. Well, not that advanced yet, but after keeping mom and dad up all night so she could eat constantly, she is moving a lot! She sees something she wants and will twist and grab it with great precision. She loves standing, sitting, and generally being a big girl. She also laughs a ridiculous laugh. It sounds like she has a hairball. It's adorable and we are happy that she tries. Go get'em tiger!

Today Inez got some fabulous new toys- stuffed vegetables! The lettuce crinkles and she can't keep it out of her mouth. We like to start good habits early. She also has discovered her feet. She has shoes with lions on them and she stares and stares and wiggles her feet.

Everyone always asks if Inez is a good sleeper. She is! She has decided that she much prefers mom to a bottle, so she gets by on less food at daycare and eats a couple times a night. No problem though- she just goes right back to sleep after eating with speed. At daycare she has been taking 3 hour naps! At home she takes 20 minutes naps...

All in all, Inez and parents are great. Tired, overworked, but wonderfully happy.

I'll put up with only so much

Another Daddy-Daughter day, this time with Grandma and Grandpa Seeberger, filled with fun! Inez has not been the most sleep friendly baby as of late, deciding it is much cooler to hang out with Dad and Mom than take a boring old nap. Problem is she can get a little sensitive emotionally, as we all can, when sleep deprived. Her swing in moods was no match for the fun day however as we went to the Conservatory, ate falafal, and got chores done. We even saw the Corpse flower about ready to bloom (unfortunately I didn't get any pictures). Enjoy!

Sunny Days and Naps on the Porch

Last Thursday the family came home and relaxed in the warm spring sun shining in on the front porch. Inez fell fast asleep without being held or fed for the first time in memory. It was also her first stomach nap as the fear of SIDs means she only gets supervised stomach time. Oh, and she did survive. Enjoy.

Daddy daughter day

Mondays are daddy daughter days, with Dad staying at home with Inez while Mom works. Today, Grandma and Grandpa Seeberger were going to visit, but the snow proved to be too much, so roommate Chris and Nick took care of business. Activities included Inez picking out which Star Trek episodes to watch and Inez mudding the kitchen sink wall. Check out some of the fun!

Last night we had a premature 4 month celebration in order to justify some Izzy's Ice Cream Cake! Happy 4 months Inez!

Baby CIndy Lou Who and other various captures

Hello Friends and Family,

The last week has brought many an excellent Inez photo, from Easter dress-up to day care hair! Dad even coordinated an impossibly cute outfit for day care without Mom's help (and no it wasn't the Minnesota Twins outfit). We are happy to present you all with photographic evidence of her evolving look.

In other news, Inez gave Nonna Pignatello her first giggle, and has continued to practice for her first full fledged laugh. Her practice at laughing sounds unfortunately similar to a cat attempting to pass a hairball. Enjoy the pics!

Back Again!

Apologies to everyone who checks this blog on any regular basis. We are terrible bloggers. In the last month Inez has changed so much! She has rolled over (for real) from front to back AND back to front. She doesn't do it much, but she likes being on her belly so much more now. She can really look around.
In this picture she has her new toy that she loves. She really examines it, then carefully puts it in her mouth. It's colorful and delicious!

She loves her hands, is starting to check out her feet, and loooooves her burp clothes. She eats them with gusto. Bathes have also become fun. She kicks her little heart out. She is very serious about it too.

She is so much fun. We love chatting with her. She talks and talks and talks. She loves to "read" along with us when we read stories. She really likes "Whistle for Willie" right now.
