It's been too long...

Happy Birthday Inez! December 5th, 2008
Birthday Cupcakes that mom slaved over and were enjoyed by all.
Yay! New blocks! While at first Inez only knocked over the towers we built, she is now building her own and knocking them over. She also tries to fit them into containers.
Inez loves to be outside. Loves it. She cried when we take her out of her sled. After a freezing freezing horrible January in which we barely left the house, we are again playing outside. Inez loves to crunch through the snow in her boots. She also likes sitting in snowbanks, sticking her hand in snow and eating it off of her mittens. Gross. We like to go on walks up and down the block and to visit her best friend, baby Tucker (born Dec. 14, 2008) one block away. We'll get some photos of him soon.
Inez got a rocking horse for Christmas from Nonni and loves when we neigh and sing while she rocks.
Surprise, surprise, Inez loves to run around naked. This picture was one a series in which she ran squeeling from us while I tried to get her.
Endless joy. This barn sings songs. Inez can now sing Twinkle Twinkle without the words. She has the tune down. It's pretty cool.
Blueberry breakfast on her birthday.

Bundle of fun

Inez came to visit the Hansons the other day. That was fun for everyone! We learned that she likes to talk on the remote.

Haircut #1

Inez received her fist haircut this afternoon. Essentially Caitie trimmed the few wisps of hair that shot all the way down to Inez's shoulders! I am including before and after photos. Inez's cousin Mateo hung out today and the two of them had a blast watching youtube videos, playing soccer in the backyard and wrestling on the couch.

All in all it has been a fun last few weeks!

Oh, and Inez will be a one year old next week! Wowza!

Test of walking video

Walker

Inez is officially a toddler. Caitie's friends came over to cheer her on last night and Inez responded by walking. She was taking as many as 6 or 7 steps! We have many videos, but this one is fun. Enjoy!

Last two weeks of October

The last two weeks of October were definitely busy ones for the Seeberger-Seeberger-Reid household. There was playing in laundry baskets, leaves, the shores of Lake Superior, and even some trick or treating. Inez wanted to go into every home we visited and take up residency. She really likes her box of Dots and box of Raisins! If you were curious, Nick's Mom made the pumpkin outfit and Caitie's mom knit the hat. What a cute outfit!

Great Grandma!

Inez and I spent the day with Great Grandma Pignatello perusing the Como Conservatory. Inez enjoyed the stroller, the fish (with whom she badly wanted to swim), and the rocks and flowers outside (which she ate). She also enjoyed Great Grandma.

Inez has also been a bit of a terror. She is almost walking, but crawls and climbs with GREAT ease. More and more things are moving to greater altitudes in our house. She likes to: pull all the books off the shelves, pull all the cds off the cd shelf (i couldn't take it anymore tonight and i finally put all the cds on the table and moved the shelf to the porch, out of her reach), pull the containers and potsand pans off shelves, eat things on the floor, try to get to the computer, throw tantrums when she doesn't get to watch tutti frutti gummi bear video, and so much more. We love her.

Hat

Inez really enjoys fashion. She especially likes hats. This one caught her eye for five whole minutes.

Various pictures

We don't have any pictures, but we spent a great day down at Great Grandma and Grandpa Reid's. Inez LOVED the toys Great Grandma brought out and literally did not stop moving all day. She knew she was the star of the show!

Her hair never ceases to be a source of great amusement. There is nothing holding that mane up! I swear- no gel!

Nina and Kevin gave Inez a little chair from the cabin that Inez cannot get enough of. She loves it. She can now climb up onto it, and then stand on it. Don't worry, we still supervise, but she won't need us much longer.

Blueberries!

State Fair

Inez's first trip to the State Fair! Hurray! While Caitie volunteered, Nick and Inez explored the fair and even ran into Nick's cousin Al, his wife Aimee, and their daughter Eva. Inez got to enjoy some corn too.

Camping

A few weeks ago we went camping in Nerstrand. Inez enjoyed playing in the dirt, eating rocks, hiking, and swinging at the park. We got to see Grandpa Stuart and Sam too. We slept in John and Karen's pop-up camper, which was awfully nice when it rained all night. It was a nice weekend, but it's not easy camping with a crawler. We were pretty tired from our "relaxing" trip to the woods.

An Update, Finally!

Inez's Favorite Things:

Standing, squatting while standing, climbing everything she can find (including stairs, her parents, chairs, tables, and cabinets), sweet potatoes, blueberries, tutti frutti gummi bear video on youtube (which she dances to quite well), and pretty much everything life has to offer.

Inez's dislikes: stopping moving for anything, napping, and sleeping through the night.

What's new?

Nick got a promotion, Caitie quit her job and Inez is having a blast eating food. It has been a busy month!

SUMMER VACATION!!!

FAMILY FUN

We all had a blast in Montana. Nick, Caitie, Inez and Nonna Nettie took Amtrak out to the Seeberger family cabin (which Grandma and Grandpa Seeberger had set-up beautifully and were waiting for us)! A few days of hanging out with family were all we had before Nick's brother Jon and Grandma and Grandpa Seeberger headed home. We all went on hikes, swam, and relaxed!

Inez is really growing. In the 10 days we were gone she; mastered crawling (and boy is watching her a challenge), developed separation anxiety, learned to clap, learned to wave, and swam without fear or shivering in a lake that was much colder than it has been the last couple of years (and in the rockies they never get that warm anyway).

Go to this link to see tons of pics from the trip! Most are of Inez!

Some pics of Nezzie

A few recent pics of the same old; eating, smiling, and charming her parents birkenstocks off! Note to the concerned, we do not own birkenstocks, we do however have a food mill! Hippy parents! If you look close you can even see her two new teeth in a couple of the photos.
